Enter the Altar

Between the heart of the sky and the heart of the earth—your Soul is the bridge

There is a moment when something shifts.

Maybe things stop unfolding the way they used to.

Maybe you keep arriving at the same wall.

Maybe you wake up one day and realize you are living someone else's life—not the one that was seeded in you, not the one that keeps calling from somewhere you can't quite locate.

Maybe you are being followed by signs. Dreams that won't leave. Synchronicities that your mind can't hold. A knowing that something more is asking for you—and your current life has no room for it yet.

If this is where you are, you are not broken. You are not behind. You are at a threshold. And you are not alone.

What becomes possible here

After this work at the Altar, people rarely feel alone again—because they have learned to feel themselves within the soul field, held by something vast and real and loving.

They feel guided. Not just by their own Soul and higher self, but by their teams in other dimensions—ancestors, guides, energies—moving them forward, walking alongside them, cheering them on in ways they can now actually feel.

They find that struggle becomes a portal rather than a verdict. That everything—even the hardest thing—carries the seeds of emergence and aliveness.

They feel so much more love. So much more compassion. And a clearer, quieter knowing of what is for them and what is not.

They understand, finally, what brought them to this particular moment. And they learn to trust the sacred timing their Soul has been orchestrating all along.

What becomes possible is everything. Expansion after chaos. Love after loss. Emergence after the kind of metaphorical death that precedes a real life.

The Four Movements

This work moves through four living, breathing movements—not steps, not stages, but a cycle that spirals and deepens over time.

Resting—the foundation. Integration, healing, allowing. The nervous system restored. The body finally permitted to soften. The space between experiences where the Soul finally has room to speak.

Opening—the heart, the body, the channel. Spaciousness created. The field entered. The felt sense awakened. Permission given to feel what has been waiting to be felt.

Receiving—contact. The Soul heard. The ancestors present. The body as the vessel through which guidance arrives in a form that can actually be carried forward.

Emerging—what moves through you into the world. Not striving. Not performing. The natural expression of a Soul that has been heard, held, and set free in the body it inhabits.

What this work does that most healing cannot

Most healing asks you to return to the wound. To locate it, name it, renegotiate it. And sometimes that is necessary and right.

But what I have come to understand—through my own emergence, through the ancestral wisdom that has guided this work, and through years of sitting with others at the threshold—is that for most of us, the wound does not need to be the doorway.

What the body needs is not a confrontation with its history. It needs a felt experience of something it may never have had enough of: safety. Expansion. The sensation of being held by something larger than the difficulty. When that experience is real—when it lives in the body, not just the mind—the nervous system begins to release what it has been guarding. Not because it was forced to. Because it finally understood it was safe to let go.

This is the subtle and sophisticated work at the heart of Rest, Open, Receive, Emerge. The Cacao opens the heart and softens the field. The Kundalini transmission through sound moves energy through the body's channels. The ancestral council brings the wisdom of those who have already walked through what you are walking through. The somatic exercises teach the nervous system—slowly, gently, through the body's own intelligence—a new way of being. And together, they create something that cannot be manufactured through effort or analysis: a living, embodied experience of the soul's inherent resilience.

As I have deepened into my own felt sense, I have found that I can enter the soul field of a circle—feeling into the collective body of those gathered, attuning to what wishes to move, and allowing that living intelligence to guide what arrives next. This is not a curriculum. It is a conversation between souls. And it is the practice I invite you into when we are in proximity, in stillness, in listening, in feeling together.

The soul is not fragile. It has never been fragile. It is the part of you that has survived everything—and it carries, within it, the capacity not just to heal but to move fluidly with the full spectrum of human experience. This work tends contraction. It offers expansion. It restores the alignment between your Soul and the life it came here to live.

The Modalities

These movements are experienced through sacred practices—held in community online inside The Altar and in person in my private studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico:

—Cacao ritual with meditative visualization and sound journey — a sacred, gentle ancestral plant medicine that opens the heart, softens the field, and creates the conditions for the soul to be heard

—Cacao ritual with Kundalini activation transmission — sound and energy moving through the body's channels, awakening what has been waiting

—Sacred Ancestor Readings and channeled transmissions — contact with those who have walked before you, bringing through the wisdom and love that continues to move across the veil

—Somatic and restorative practices for integration and return — gentle, embodied movement that restores fluidity between the base and the high heart, and teaches the nervous system what safety feels like

—Attunement to sacred timing — learning to feel and follow the rhythms of your Soul, woven not as a separate practice but as the living thread through every gathering and transmission

And for those called to go deeper in one-on-one work: Ancestral Mediumship, The Altar Sessions, Kundalini Transmission Sound Journey, and Your Soul Offering.

Come to Santa Fe

If you are in New Mexico or feel called to travel, I host intimate sacred gatherings in Santa Fe—ceremonies, ancestor readings, and ritual experiences that bring these practices into a shared physical space.

There is something that happens when souls gather in a room together that cannot be replicated online. If you feel the pull, trust it.

There was a moment—

There Was a Moment
Maggie Battista

I remember it well—I was on the phone with my therapist, about four months before my marriage of twenty years finally began to come undone—when I said something aloud that changed everything.

I said, "I don't think relationships are meant to be this hard. I don't think life is meant to be this hard."

And this was the moment when my body finally heard what my Soul had been saying through all the losses—both of my parents, gone within a year of each other. Through the years of effort poured into my work, my marriage, myself. Through all the healing, the pushing, and the trying again.

Something in me finally felt the truth. It wasn't defeat. It was recognition.

I had been talking to my Soul for a while by then. Doing the inner work. Getting out into nature. Sitting with what wanted to come through. But saying it aloud—letting my body receive it—that was when the dismantling could finally complete itself. Not because I wanted it. Because it was ready.

What followed was neither immediate nor easy. But it was guided. And slowly, through ceremony, through ancestral connection, through learning to hear my own Soul's voice, I found my way to a different kind of life. One that doesn't require me to push upstream. One that meets me. One that feels, for the first time, like mine.

I built The Altar because I needed it first. And because I know I am not the only one who has stood at that wall, exhausted, wondering if it was always supposed to feel hard.

It wasn't. And it doesn't have to.

I'm here because I found another way. And I want that for you too.

“Being a member of the Altar has been such a precious and valuable experience for me already. At the same time, it’s a container, a community, a ritual, a space for reflection and a place to learn from Maggie’s rich framework on the Soul. I’ve been exploring spiritual traditions for over 30 years and have had many revelatory experiences and teachers over the decades. Yet, everything Maggie shares sparks a new level of insight or connection for me. Her philosophy is authentic, deep, and fresh.”

“I am really enjoying the transmissions and virtual gatherings. The Altar feels like a space that I get to show up and be seen just as I am. There is genuine care and compassion in this space. Part of the magic is we all show up not just for ourselves, but for each other. Maggie and each member listens and holds space with such care. When I leave a gathering or after I have listened to a transmission, I am able to give myself even more compassion. Because this container is so gently held, it allows growth, reflection, and expansion in so many aspects of my life.  Thank you for your offerings and holding the space.”
